Information for this site is gleaned from many sources. There are links, where appropriate, to other sites for more information, but note that we are NOT responsible for any information on external sites.
Most of the documents are from either the MA Department of Education or the US Department of Education. There are some web pages within that are partial copies of web pages on the respective sites. All copyrights stay with the originator of the documents and no notices have been removed.
A good portion of the “supportive articles” on this site is from the National Information Center for Handicapped Children and Youth (NICHCY). For more than 2 decades, NICHCY had been the center providing information to the nation on: disabilities in children and youth; programs and services for infants, children, and youth with disabilities; IDEA, the nation’s special education law; and research-based information on effective practices for children with disabilities. Their special focus had been on children and youth with disabilities (birth to age 22). On September 30, 2013, their funding from the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) at the U.S. Department of Education ended. All the information on the now defunct site was and is in the public domain.
More information shortly.
